June 16th

Hey there! Nothing much has changed. I honestly thought that I had updated your blog last week. I felt bad that I didn't! I don't remember if I had told you but Kyden has been taking those lessons from Cicily. He is doing great! The other day we were at the pool and he saw a kid with a ball and started asking for it. Cicily was trying to bring his attention back to what they were doing (going under water). She pulled him under on the count of 3 and when he came up...literally out of the water he shouted "BALL". It was so funny! Mike got a case for the Ipad that allows us to record, and take pictures under water. Pretty cool!

He had a fun time last week at his cousin's bday party. He liked the pinata!

Lately I have been taking trax to school to save money (gas is expensive!) and I realized that Ky would love a ride. We decided to take a ride to the mall downtown. Kyden had a blast! We went to play in the fountains that shoot up from the ground. He loved watching but hated getting splashed. But what he really loved was the Discovery Gateway. If you haven't been there it is just this place that has water they can play with, balls, a little supermarket (toy), and a couple play houses. Even some cars, trucks, and a helicopter you can play on. He LOVED it so we for only $9 more bucks they gave us a 3 month pass that allows us to come and go as we please. Anyway he found this toy pot that had fake eggs in it. He would not put it down. He found a piano and wanted to play it but didn't want to put it down. Here is a video of it. He was so funny! You're gonna love him he is hilarious! He is generally pretty mellow like Mike too.

I found this gem on the computer. I guess Mike was teaching him to pee standing up. It must not have been a success because I found a puddle, and Ky is still in diapers.
Before we went downtown we had a picnic at the library park. Ky liked the swings.
It happened to be the chalk festival at gateway. It was cool! Some people are so talented!
This horse was at the Discovery Gateway. We also went to the planitarium. He liked that too.

PUUUUUUUUUUUUKA

Hey Little Brother!

Not much new for us. We are all doing okay...for the most part. I don't know if I ever told you but Mike hurt his back in January. His work has been paying for physical therapy. Since it hasn't gotten better they had to do an MRI of his back. Turns out he has a bulging disk and something else I cannot remember the name of. So we are waiting to hear from a spine specialist about what they want to do. Whether or not taking time of from work will do the trick, or if he has to have surgery. I really hope he doesn't have to have surger. Eesh.

I almost got an interview from the principle at Kerns Jr High school. She said that I could get an alternate route to licensure rather than doing my student teaching. That would be awesome. So starting August I may be a teacher!!! So exciting. Teaching 7th and 8th grade Science. I hope I get an interview!

Cicily has been teaching Kyden the water stuff. He really has been improving. He is really coordinated. He is obsessed with basketball! Whenever we go swimming he stops and watches the people playing basketball. He cries when we take him away to the pool. ha Ky is so funny. Everyone when I drop Ky off at Dad's when we walk in the door Ky yells "AMPA", "AMPA" until he sees dad. It is so funny!

I love you so much, I am so happy you have 9 months down! Can't wait to see you in 15! Again I love you, miss you, and think about you every single day!

Love us

Here are some silly pics

For one of my classes I had to get practicum hours (experience teaching in a partnership) I chose to teach Saturday classes to the community of Rose Park. We taught kids and adults. (Anatomy)
We did some awesome disections. Here is a cross section of a cow leg (upper part knee, lower is hip)
I didn't get any pics of the fish heads we dissected but this is a pic that one of the kids drew of it.
This is the inside of a cow eye
This is the lens of a cow eye. It also magnifies things when you put it up close.

Here is Kyden at his 16 month appointment. He was cold so I put my jacket on him. We had to keep in naked (in a diaper)  for the doctor to do a physical.

He got sleepy on the way home
Kim and Mary played some songs Kim wrote at the open act at a concert. It was AWESOME!!!
This is just an awesome pic with perfect timing! You can see why. (to the left is Kyden's cousin Liam)
